Why Breathing Buddy works

Slow, controlled breathing activates the vagus nerve and the parasympathetic nervous system, the body's natural rest-and-digest response. Box breathing (4-4-4-4) and belly breathing reduce cortisol, lower heart rate and calm acute anxiety within 2 to 3 minutes. Children who practise daily build stronger vagal tone, meaning their nervous system recovers from stress faster over time.
